The beauty of the underwater world is captured right here in the Bali Shell Museum, located on Sunset Road.
The museum boasts a huge array of shells -- almost every shell you can find underwater, you can find in this museum.
The museum was opened in September last year.

"This museum was built so that the public knows the richness and beauty of marine life, especially the shells.''
The museum also gives visitors a glimpse of marine life from millions of years ago.
One of the displays includes fossils from the Atlas Mountains, south of Morocco.
Experts estimate that this needle-shaped fossil is about 300 million years old.
And this petrified trilobite fossil is nearly 500 million years old.
The museum also displays fish bones fish, including this 10-foot-long whalebone.
One of the most colorful exhibits is this collection of colored snail shells from around the world.
The Bali Shell Museum is expected to be a popular tourist attraction on Bali, known as the Island of the Gods.[endtext]
